Bio

Salim Haji started his career as a management consultant after graduating from Brown University in 1993. During nine years at Oliver Wyman (previously SPA), a leading strategic consultancy with 1,400 consultants in 28 offices, Salim led the development of growth strategies for clients in North and South America, Europe and Asia in many different industries. He took a leave of absence from the firm in 1997 to attend Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, and returned to the firm in 1999 with an MBA. He was elected to Principal (junior partner) in January 2000 and to Vice-President (senior partner) in April 2001. Salim then spent a year as a Visiting Fulbright Professor at a business school in East Africa where he lectured in Corporate Strategy and Economics. In 2003 Salim joined MacDermid as Senior Vice President of Strategy and led strategy development across the company’s global operations. Here, Stephen and Salim led teams of Presidents and General Managers while working closely on many projects including product development, sales strategy, and acquisition integration for multiple transactions with enterprise values ranging between $2 Million and $450 Million. Salim started his own consulting firm in 2005, with clients including MacDermid, Weston Presidio, RE/MAX, MillerCoors and Johns Manville (A Berkshire Hathaway company).
