Bio

Payton joined Yellow Wood Partners in 2017 as an Associate and has earned several promotions, most recently to Principal in 2022. He brings over nine years of experience in investment banking and accounting. Previously, Payton was an Analyst in the Consumer and Retail Investment Banking group at William Blair & Co. While at William Blair, Payton worked on a variety of M&A transactions and capital raises across the consumer spectrum, including Consumer Packaged Goods, Specialty Retail and Food/Restaurants. He began his career as an Associate at Deloitte & Touche. Payton received an Honors BS in Business Administration (Accounting), cum laude, from The Citadel. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
