Khalil Maalouf has over 25 years of experience in identifying, partnering with, and adding value to emerging high-growth companies. Khalil has a proven history of working with water-related business owners that are seeking a growth partner or a transition partner that can deliver on their vision and legacy. Prior to XPV, Khalil started his investment career upon joining Working Ventures, which became Canada’s largest venture capital firm at the time. During his tenure at the firm, he worked on a broad range of industries across multiple stages and investment structures. However, being young in his career and new to Toronto, he differentiated himself and learned the advantages of building a virtuous cycle of knowledge, people, and reputation within a defined sector. Subsequently, he joined VenGrowth Asset Management, a mid-sized, Toronto-based private equity firm, where he specialized in leading wireless and software growth investments. Khalil attended Concordia University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance. Khalil is a CFA® charterholder. Khalil enjoys travelling with his wife Iuliana and their daughter Anna Sophia who have embraced his passion for water as a frequent vacationer on the exhibition floors of WEFTEC and AWWA.
