Adam Bates joined XPV Water Partners in 2015. As a member of the investment team, Adam actively originates, evaluates, and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities. Post-investment, Adam also works with XPV’s portfolio companies to support their growth and accomplish their strategic objectives. Adam’s particular area of investment focus is on test and measurement, IoT, and analytics verticals. Adam observes on the Board of Directors for several current XPV portfolio companies. Prior to joining XPV, Adam was a Consultant with Southern Cross Management Services Inc. At Southern Cross, Adam advised clients throughout the planning phase of high CapEx projects in the nuclear energy sector and conducted financial analysis for litigation support and dispute resolution. Adam holds a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University, and a Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, Major in Finance, from Wilfrid Laurier University. In his free time, Adam enjoys playing hockey and golf, and loves to water ski and downhill ski. He is also a big supporter of all Toronto sports teams, particularly the Toronto Maple Leafs.
