Bio

John is a founding partner of Windspeed Ventures and has served as managing partner since its inception. John brings more than 20 years of experience in the high tech communications sector to Windspeed. Prior to joining Windspeed, John was the business director of the worldwide service organization for Bay Networks. There he was responsible for business development, sales, marketing, and strategy for the $150 million organization. Prior to Bay Networks, John was one of the early members of Wellfleet Communications. At Wellfleet, he was responsible for building the service organization, including creating a profit center that went from $0 to over $90 million in annual revenue. Before Wellfleet John was a software development engineer at Codex/Motorola Corp., developing wide area data communications products. John holds a BS in computer science from Fitchburg State University. John has served as a director of Bradford Networks (acquired by Fortinet), Apps.com (acquired by Intuit), Mancala, Fidelia Inc. (acquired by Network General), and Burstpoint Networks (acquired by Avaya).
