Tim Batchelor specializes in management buyouts, recapitalizations and other private equity transactions, in addition to representing company owners in full exits. Prior to forming White Peak, Mr. Batchelor and other partners formed McGuireWoods Capital Group where he completed transactions from $10 million to $800 million. Previously, he was a founding member of PaineWebber’s Financial Sponsors Group in New York City where he was involved with transactions in the fields of technology, telecom, business services, industrial and others. At PaineWebber, he created proprietary M&A ideas for financial sponsor clients and structured recapitalizations of corporations, predominantly involving management teams. He developed working relationships with many of the largest US and European based financial sponsors, which he maintains today. In addition to financial sponsor-led transactions, Mr. Batchelor has experience in Initial Public Offerings, Private Placements in the cellular and entertainment industries, High Yield offerings for steel and manufacturing companies, Mergers & Acquisitions in the Internet, healthcare, industrial and various other industries. While in New York, he also worked for Koch Investments as a member of its Merchant Banking and Capital Markets Group, making principal investments with invested capital from Koch Industries, at the time, the second largest private US company, and now the largest. Mr. Batchelor’s operating experience began during his tenure as the manager of The Irving Group, a commercial real estate advisor and developer in the Northern Virginia area, and continued at Seaward International, a manufacturing company that he invested in and joined in order to assist in managing its start-up Plastics Division while contributing to the overall company as a member of its Executive Management Committee. Mr. Batchelor is a graduate of Columbia Business School in New York, James Madison University in Virginia and completed his accounting degree requirements at the University of Virginia. He is the Chairman of the Board of Secure Solutions – a 400 employee physical security company, a member of the Board of Directors of Expert JMS, LLC, and has served on the Advisory or Board of Directors of The Washington Business Journal and Monumental Venture Partners, Stop Child Abuse Now (“SCAN”), the National Orphan Foundation, and other organizations. He is a Registered Securities Representative (Series 7, 63, 79) with Burch & Company, Inc.
