Varun Babbili joined White Deer in 2010 and is a Managing Director of the firm. His responsibilities range from origination, structuring, due diligence, execution and monitoring of investments. He is currently a director of Axios, Covenant, Deep Well Services, Exero, Extract, Flogistix, Fortress, LongPath, TorcSill and WeldFit. Prior to White Deer, Varun was a member of the Investment Banking Group at J.P. Morgan. While at J.P. Morgan, he focused on a wide variety of mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisories and capital market financings for clients in the energy industry. Varun is actively involved in the community, current serving on the Board of Directors of Compudopt and on the Advance Team of the MD Anderson Cancer Center. He received a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.S. in Economics from Southern Methodist University.
