Jim Meneely joined White Deer upon its foundation in 2008 and is a Managing Partner of the firm. His responsibilities range from sourcing and managing new investments to sharing responsibility over the firm’s strategy and direction. He currently sits on the boards of brytemove, Covenant, Deep Well, Exero, Lufkin, Riverside, and Unicat. Prior to White Deer, Jim served as CEO and Vice Chairman of Gray Wireline Services. From 2003 to 2008, he worked for Halliburton Company where he was a member of the executive leadership team. While at Halliburton, Jim was head of mergers and acquisitions, capital planning and strategy development. Prior to 2003, Jim worked as an energy investment banker with Simmons & Company International and, prior to that, worked as an energy consultant at Arthur D. Little, Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) and Schlesinger & Associates. Jim holds an M.B.A in Finance from the Darden Business School at the University of Virginia and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. He serves on the University of Virginia’s Jefferson Scholar Selection Committee.
