Bio

Brian joined Westward Partners in the spring of 2019, and focuses on new investment transactions and portfolio company management. Prior to joining Westward, Brian led OTT (over the top communications) product integrations for Amazon Alexa. Before Amazon, Brian co-founded Gratafy, an experiential commerce technology platform, where he raised over $8 million in venture funding and grew the team to over 100 people. After running the company for six years as CEO, it was acquired by Inmar in 2018. Prior to his time in technology, Brian’s background was in finance, spending two years as an Associate in the $130 billion distressed and high yield debt fund at Oaktree Capital Management in Los Angeles. He began his career in investment banking as an Analyst at Credit Suisse in the Financial Sponsors group in New York. Brian holds an MBA from The Wharton School in Strategic Management, and completed his undergrad at the University of Washington.
