J. Cameron Robinett has over thirteen years of experience in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and related consulting services for public and private companies. Cameron served as analyst for The Gartman Letter, L.C., a single family office (SFO) and publisher of The Gartman Letter, a daily financial newsletter on the global capital markets addressing economic, political, and technical trends from both long-term and short-term perspectives. In addition to providing research and investment concepts for the publication, Cameron was solely responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing the firm’s private equity, venture capital, and real estate portfolio. He also developed various public market products including ETNs and ETFs and provided consulting services to a host of small to medium sized businesses including Westshore Capital Partners. Cameron began his career as an analyst with Florida Capital Partners (“FCP”) in 2003 and was responsible for conducting detailed industry and company research, screening new opportunities, monitoring existing portfolio companies, and maintaining relationships with the firm’s bank lenders. Mr. Robinett also has experience in the development of joint ventures and strategic partnerships in both the public and private markets. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
