In almost three decades at Westland Insurance, Matt Wubs has served as Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Co-CEO, where he oversaw insurance, reinsurance, risk management, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Now, Matt applies his decades of organizational knowledge and deep passion for the business as a director on the board. During this time, Westland has evolved from a regional BC organization to one of Canada’s largest national brokerages and managing general agents. Matt also serves as Chairman of Ero Copper’s Audit Committee and as a Director on the Board of Big Box Outlet Stores. Before joining Westland, Matt held a consulting role in Management Information Systems at International Forest Products Ltd. and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation while working at Deloitte LLP. Matt is a CA, CPA and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia.
