Bio

Geoff Smith is the Group Head of Debt and Chief Production Officer for Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners, the investment management and proprietary capital arm of Walker & Dunlop, Inc. Mr. Smith joined W&D in 2014 and his diverse real estate experience in investment banking, mortgage origination, trading, syndication and development has allowed him to invest over $17 billion in real estate debt and equity assets over his career. His experience includes creating and operating commercial real estate debt, mezzanine and equity platforms, serving on investment committees and boards and participating in capital formation strategies. Prior to joining W&D, Mr. Smith served as a senior executive serving in various capacities including origination, credit, asset management and trading with Hudson Realty Capital, Natixis, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Nomura Securities. Mr. Smith earned his AB in Economics and History from Duke University.
