Prior to joining Vintage in 2021, Barrel was the Director of Portfolio at Ignite-Intel for startups. Before that, Barrel was a Principal at JVP where he led investments in early-stage companies and acted as a Board Director for companies including Cyber Security, AI, Cloud, Blockchain, IoT, and more. Barrel is an experienced Board Member and early-stage investor. In addition, Barrel brings significant experience from a military service as a captain officer at the technological unit of the Intelligent Forces and the Israeli Ministry of Defense, starting from hands-on R&D roles towards leading a product team around cyber security. Barrel holds a BSc in Computer Science (which he completed during high school) and an MBA from the Technion.
