Matt is a Partner at Vespa Capital and worked on the James Villas, Imagesound and WSP Textiles investments. His prime responsibilities are deal origination, transaction processing and investment monitoring. Matt joined from Montagu Private Equity, where he was a partner. In his time at Montagu he worked on 18 deals, virtually all of which were cross border transactions. These investments were made out of the UK, France, Germany and the Nordic region. From 2003, Matt ran Montagu’s Nordic team.Prior to Montagu, Matt worked for two years in Mizuho’s leverage finance team arranging senior and mezzanine debt for management buy outs. Between 1994 and 1998 Matt worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Matt is a University of Bristol economics graduate.
