Countryside boy who made it to the big city. Graduated with a master’s in civil engineering and started my career in consulting at Bain & Company. Worked across the five continents, serving blue chip clients in CPG and Retail for roughly 10 years. Got a taste of corporate life working for Mars Pet Care along the way. Finally, reinvented myself as growth investor, moved back to Brussels, and joined Verlinvest in 2018. As much as I like adding to my experience in CPG and Retail, I love venturing into new territory and bringing Verlinvest along (e.g. in eHealth, eGrocery, eBikes, …). Consumers don’t think or behave within the construct of industries, categories or countries, so neither should consumer investors. In addition, I keep an eye on whatever happens in BeNeLux (where we need more entrepreneurship!), as well as our portfolio company Mutti.
