Matt has had general partner management responsibilities in over 22 private fund offerings and oversees these funds in addition to the funds in the firms Wealth Management division. He has overseen investment for over $275 million in real estate projects in the Portland metro area as well as VergePointe Capital’s investments made into many different businesses in the western United States and Canada. In addition, Matt also serves as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer. Currently, Matt is a Board Member at William Henry (McMinnville, OR), Allstar Magnetics (Vancouver, WA), ESAM, Inc. (Grants Pass, OR), as well as Herbers Auto Body (Edmonton, Canada). He is also on the Board of Trustees for Linfield College (McMinnville, OR). He previously served as a member of the Providence Medical Systems of Oregon Planned Giving Advisory Board and as a member of the St. Andrew Legal Clinic “Taste For Justice” wine benefit auction advisory committee. In addition, he previously served as an observer to the Board at Snapware Corporation (Ontario, CA), the Vice-Chair of the Executive Board of the North Pacific Conference of the Covenant Church, Vice-Chair of the Linfield College Business Advisory Council and as a member of the Linfield College Alumni Council. Matt graduated with honors from Linfield College and is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®). In addition, he has received the Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor (CM&AA) designation. He was also designated as one of Portland Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40”. Outside of work, he resides in Lake Oswego, OR and is a husband to his wife and a father to his three children. He is a better fly fisherman than a golfer but enjoys both activities.
