Mike Janish is a Managing Partner at Vance Street and is primarily responsible for evaluating investments and working with portfolio company management teams to help them reach strategic objectives. Mr. Janish is generally responsible for leading all post-investment operational activities at the Firm. Prior to joining Vance Street in 2016, Mr. Janish was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Avalon Laboratories, a private equity-owned medical device manufacturer of specialty medical tubing. Prior to Avalon Laboratories, Mr. Janish was the Chief Executive Officer and President of Precitech, a private equity-owned manufacturer of nanotechnology machine tools. Earlier in his career, Mr. Janish held various senior management and engineering roles at Ametek, Century Specialties, Textron and General Motors Corporation. Mr. Janish holds an MBA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. Mr. Janish currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Plastic Design Corporation, Motion Dynamics, Applied Plastics and Wytech Industries.
