Asim Aleem is the Founder and Managing Principal of Valent Capital Partners, LLC. He brings over 12 years of experience across all facets of a transaction and management of a company from sourcing investment opportunities through working collaboratively with management teams and board members post-transaction to build and grow businesses. Prior to forming Valent Capital Partners, Asim led the deal sourcing and structuring for Avondale Strategic Partners’ principal investing activities along with holding a range of portfolio company management responsibilities. Asim started his career at Ernst & Young, where he served as a manager in its Transaction Advisory Services practice, leading M&A transaction due diligence, valuation, and structuring advisory for middle-market private equity firms. He enjoys every opportunity to speak with outstanding founders and owners of small businesses to understand how he can create mutually beneficial partnerships and create significant value for all parties. Asim stays active in the community through a wide range of professional, civic, and volunteer organizations and enjoys reading, sports, and travel. Most of all, he enjoys working with motivated individuals with high integrity and aims to never stop learning. Asim holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
