Bio

John Burton is an Operating Partner and co-founder at Updata. From 2013 to 2018, John served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Nintex, an Updata Partners portfolio company. Prior to Updata, John was with Legent Corporation, an international, publicly-traded enterprise software company, as president, COO and CEO. Earlier, John co-founded Business Software Technology Inc. (BST), a successful VC-backed firm acquired by Legent, where he served as officer, COO and director. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Boston College.
