Ira Cohen is an Operating Partner and co-founder of the firm. He served as CFO and Treasurer of CGA Computer, Inc., a public software and services company which he helped to take private in a management buyout in 1984 with Barry Goldsmith. Prior to CGA, Ira guided Tridex and Computer Magnetics, publicly-traded components and systems manufacturers, through acquisitions, divestitures, financings and an IPO. Ira has served on the boards of several publicly-traded companies including: TSR Consulting (TSRI), Datastream Software (DSTM), Alphanet Systems (ALPH) and Computer Learning Centers (CLCX). Ira is a CPA and received an M.S. in Finance from Boston University, a B.S. in Accounting from City University of New York and has completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Education program.
