Bio

Fady Joseph Rahme is an ESG Operating Partner with the TriSpan Group. Consultant in management and strategy with a focus on family business governance since 2022 , Fady was previously , and for 16 years , the Vice President in charge of Corporate Affairs, Communication, Sustainability and Compliance at Japan Tobacco International (JTI) for the Region comprising Turkey, the Near East, the Middle East and Africa and the World Wide Duty Free business (MENEAT). He was a member of the Regional ExCom that manages the business in that area (58 markets) and of the Corporate Affairs and Communication worldwide management Team. On top of his role, he contributed to establish and run globally the Compliance function and the Sustainability approach. Prior to that, he built and operated entities across 3 continents (Europe, Africa and Asia) in highly regulated industries, insuring business sustainability, effectiveness and growth. Between 2001 and 2005, he was the Vice President in charge of business development at GlobeMed (the leading Third party Administrator of healthcare Insurance program in the Middle East and Africa) and had previously gone through 10 years’ experience in management consulting supporting different industries among which Technology start-ups and hospitality related entities. Fady has an in-depth expertise in Regulatory and Political Risk management (Corporate Affairs), Compliance, Governance, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Sustainability and Strategic Communication. He is the author of a reference book titled : EnvOping or interacting with the operating environment during the “age of Regulation”, and a Lecturer at Sciences Po (Paris). He holds currently advisory role with start-ups and family businesses on Governance and ESG issues. Graduated in Law from Saint Joseph University in Lebanon , he achieved his Post graduate (DEA) and Doctoral studies in Sciences Po (Paris) and has attended the International Executive Program of INSEAD.
