Mr. Rooney joined TriGate in 2013 and is a Senior Vice President on the firm’s acquisition team. Mr. Rooney’s primary focus is originating new investments throughout the US, with a particular focus on several of TriGate’s target markets including Houston, Nashville, San Antonio, and Atlanta. Mr. Rooney focuses on all major commercial asset classes including hotel, office, industrial and retail. Prior to joining TriGate, Mr. Rooney worked at C-III Realty Services – now NAI Global – the disposition arm of C-III Capital Partners. In his role at C-III, Matt was responsible for managing distressed asset dispositions. In various capacities, Matt engaged in over 100 note and REO dispositions totaling more than $450MM in closed transaction volume. Mr. Rooney received his B.B.A. in Real Estate Finance from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business in 2011.
