Jason Obenhaus is a Managing Director of TriGate Capital and is focused on sourcing, acquiring and managing commercial real estate investments. Since joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Obenhaus has completed new investments and financings in excess of $1.3 billion across all asset classes. Market coverage responsibilities include Colorado, California, and shared responsibility for Texas. Prior to joining TriGate Capital, Mr. Obenhaus was an Associate with Onex Real Estate Partners, the real estate arm of Onex Corporation. His experience included underwriting potential debt and equity investments and evaluating real estate operating company investments. Prior to Onex Real Estate Partners, Mr. Obenhaus was an Associate with the leveraged finance group of Fieldstone Private Capital Group. At Fieldstone Private Capital Group, Mr. Obenhaus specialized in equity and debt transactions for oil and gas service companies. Prior to Fieldstone Private Capital Group, Mr. Obenhaus was a high yield and distressed credit analyst with SAMCO Capital Markets. Mr. Obenhaus has a B.S. in Engineering & Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is also a CFA charterholder. In addition, he is a member of the University of Texas Real Estate Finance and Investment Center Associate Council.
