Joe Parzick is the Managing Partner of Torque Capital. Joe has spent the past 30 years in the private equity business as an investor and advisor. Before founding Torque in 2011, Joe was a Managing Director and Partner of The Cypress Group, the manager of two private equity funds totaling $3.5 billion, which he joined in early 2003. At Cypress, Joe was a member of the Investment and Management committees and Chairman of the Portfolio Management and Exit committees. Joe was also a senior investment professional at EXOR America Inc., a New York-based merchant banking affiliate of Italy’s Agnelli Group, where his responsibilities included origination, execution, portfolio monitoring and capital markets. As an advisor, Joe spent four years as a Managing Director in Morgan Stanley's Financial Sponsor Group, where he was a senior relationship manager leading teams advising some of the firm’s largest private equity clients. Joe began his career at Lehman Brothers Inc., where he was a Managing Director and where he held various senior positions over his 12 years with the firm. Joe is a member of the Boards of Directors of Brake Parts Inc. (automotive parts manufacturing), Remy Power Products (automotive parts manufacturing) and J-Pac Medical (medical outsourced manufacturing). Joe has served on ten other corporate boards in a variety of industries including industrials, consumer products, building products and financial services. Joe received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Virginia and an MBA in Management and Finance from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. Joe lives in Jackson, Wyoming. His interests include skiing, bicycling, golf and jazz.
