Luiz Francisco, founding partner and President of TMG Capital, has led several investments in the areas of Health Care, Information Technology, Telecom Services, Media, Financial Technologies, Biotechnology, Information Services, and Decision Analytics. Prior to founding TMG, Mr. Viana was the CEO of Latinpart from 1995 to 1997, a holding company formed to restructure five privately held Brazilian companies. Previously, Mr. Viana was Founder, Chairman and CEO of BHM/Arlabank from 1988 to 1994. BHM/Arlabank was a joint-venture between BHM, Mr. Viana’s boutique investment bank, and Arlabank, a consortium investment bank composed of Middle Eastern and Latin American banks. The company was sold to Assurance Général de France (AGF) in 1994. From 1978 to 1989, Mr. Viana was a senior manager and later CEO of the HM Group, which at the time was one of the largest Brazilian distribution, consumer financing, broker dealer, and credit card companies, with approximately US$1 billion in annual revenues. Luiz Francisco chairs and has acted as Board Member for several companies, and founder and the Chairman of GVCepe, a center of studies and research on the local Private Equity Industry. He is also the Chairman of the advisory board of AFECE (an association providing assistance to mentally impaired children). Luiz Francisco holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
