Bio

Mark Bishof is an Operating Partner at Thoma Bravo. He brings over 40 years of experience leading private and public software companies, including 15 years as CEO. Most recently, Mark served as Strategic Advisor and Chief Business Officer of Qualtrics following its acquisition of Clarabridge. As CEO of Clarabridge, he was responsible for pivoting a customer-experience text analytics business into a leader in conversational AI that sold to Qualtrics for $1.2 billion. He led the acquisition and successful integration of all aspects of Clarabridge into Qualtrics, which today is the company's Discover AI growth engine for the global CX market. Mark also served as CEO of Flexera Software from 2008 to 2015. There, he was responsible for taking a $180 million divisional carve out from Macrovision and creating a new company, Flexera Software, in the software license management space that today serves over 50,000 customers worldwide. Before Flexera, he was EVP of Sales & Services at Macrovision, responsible for all go-to-market and delivery of all Macrovision products and services. Mark has held various Board positions with organizations such as Nature Conservancy, Pace Harman, and Bucknell University, and several Thoma Bravo portfolio companies, including Eptura, Infogix, Mercell, and NextGen Healthcare. Earlier in his career, he held management and sales leadership roles at IBM, Crossworlds Software, Deloitte Consulting, and Booz, Allen & Hamilton, and he spent five years with the U.S. Navy. Mark holds a BS in Computer and Information Systems from the University of Maryland.
