Sherry Witter is the Co-Founder, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of the Witter Family Offices. Sherry co-founded their family offices in 2011 with her husband, Michael D. Witter (grandson of the late Dean Witter), for the purposes of compounding wealth and in turn, supporting philanthropy. She is responsible for overseeing all aspects of investing and operating activities involving their assets, while Michael focuses on their philanthropic mission. Sherry has over two decades of investment experience across multiple asset classes including hedge funds, real estate, private equity, venture capital, and fine musical instruments. Though each of these asset classes has provided a strong and steady return, it is the investments in their liquid hedge fund and trading strategies that have materially outperformed. After starting her first hedge fund in 1998, Sherry continued on to launch seven additional strategies in the alternative space. Though Sherry maintains her GP status in these funds, she does not accept any outside assets as they are capacity constrained.
