Scott H. Hughes is a Principal focused on U.S. buyout opportunities in the industrial and transportation sectors. Mr. Hughes is based in Washington, DC. Since joining Carlyle in 2010, Mr. Hughes has been actively involved with a number of the firm’s investments, including Novolex, Cepsa, Accudyne Industries, Greater China Intermodal, Centennial and WildHorse. Prior to Carlyle, he was an analyst in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Hughes received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a BA, cum laude, from Columbia University.
