Michael Echemendia is a Vice President with U.S. Buyout, focusing on investments in the aerospace, defense and government services sectors. He is based in Washington, DC. Previously, Mr. Echemendia was a Vice President with Carlyle Strategic Partners, focusing on distressed and special situations investments across a broad range of sectors and asset classes. Mr. Echemendia was the 2016 Toigo Private Equity MBA Fellow at Carlyle. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Echemendia was with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, focusing on principal investments and M&A. Mr. Echemendia received his MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was a Private Equity Fellow, and received a BS in finance from The Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Mr. Echemendia is a member of the board of Dynamic Precision Group.
