Bio

Matthew J. Coles is a Principal in Carlyle Global Partners. He is based in New York. Prior to joining Carlyle Global Partners in 2016, Mr. Coles was a member of Carlyle’s European buyout fund, based in London. Since joining Carlyle in 2010, he has been actively involved in Carlyle’s investments in RAC, Multi Packaging Solutions, Arctic Glacier, Hilcorp San Juan, TCW, NEP, and TAMKO. He currently serves on the boards of Arctic Glacier and NEP. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Coles worked in mergers and acquisitions at Lazard in London. He received a BA in modern history, with honors, from St. Peter's College, Oxford University.
