David Mazaira is a Director focusing Carlyle's funds on European buyout opportunities. He is based in Barcelona. Since joining Carlyle in 2007, Mr. Mazaira has been actively involved in Carlyle’s investments in Applus Services, Telecable, Grupo Empresarial Palacios Alimentación, Cupa Group and Codorniu Raventós. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Mazaira worked for two years as an Analyst for Morgan Stanley in the European Media and Communications group. He also worked as a Summer Analyst for JP Morgan Chase in the Diversified Industries and Transportation group. Mr. Mazaira did an exchange in the Stephen M. Ross University of Michigan and graduated from ESADE Business School. He is fluent in Catalan, Spanish and English.
