Abe Hidary is a Vice President in Carlyle’s Equity Opportunity Fund based in New York. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Hidary served as Vice President of Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Development at Galaxy Brand Holdings, a Carlyle portfolio company. At Galaxy, he led the effort to identify, analyze and negotiate new brand acquisition opportunities, including the acquisition of Linens ‘N Things in 2013. Prior to Galaxy, Mr. Hidary worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at Houlihan Lokey, where he participated in executing numerous mergers and acquisitions, private placements of debt and equity, refinancings and leveraged buyouts ranging in size from $50 million to $2 billion. Mr. Hidary graduated summa cum laude from New York University’s Stern School of Business, earning a BS in both finance and international business.
