Pete Corish is BroadOak’s VP Business Development in Europe, expanding the recognition of, and access to, BroadOak’s expertise, capabilities and services to European Life Science companies and investors. With 20 years of experience in core clinical laboratory, Point-of-Care immunoassay, and molecular diagnostics markets, Pete has focused on commercialising R&D and third-party innovative technologies in a number of Life Science and IVD businesses in the UK and US, including Alere, Oxford Gene Technology, Arrow Therapeutics, and Oxonica Healthcare plc. This has included applications for novel nanoparticle biolabels, DNA microarray analysis, genomic technologies for drug development, and new platforms for rapid, in-field diagnostics with digital connectivity. As the former Chief Technology Officer of BBI Solutions, a leading independent provider of diagnostic reagents and services, Pete was responsible for M&A, Commercial Strategic Partnerships and technology Licensing/R&D, building out their product and innovative technology portfolios. Pete gained his bachelor and doctorate degrees in Molecular Genetics from the Universities of Nottingham and Cambridge (UK) respectively, and is based in Cardiff, the capital of Wales, and only two hours from the principal European Life Science hubs.
