Bio

Scott Mathias is a Managing Director and Co-Chief Compliance Officer of Blackstone Real Estate. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2016, Mr. Mathias was an Associate in the Private Funds group at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, LLP where he advised and represented some of the largest and most well-known sponsors of private equity and hedge funds. Mr. Mathias received a BBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a JD cum laude from New York University School of Law.
