Dave Ellett brings more than 30 years of executive experience guiding online organizations through various stages – from start up to restart scenarios. He currently serves as chief executive officer for RemitDATA where he is responsible for the vision, strategy and day-to-day operations of the company. Ellett has held senior positions at several internet-focused businesses. Prior to his role with RemitDATA, he served as president and general manager of Belo Interactive Media. Prior to Belo, Dave served as CEO and chairman of Powered, an industry leader in building social media websites for major brands and publishers. Before joining Powered, Ellett served as CEO at Docent Inc., a leader in enterprise e-learning and business performance management, taking the company from the “A” round of funding through a successful IPO. Ellett’s experience also includes tenures at large IT companies, such as serving as the corporate vice president of worldwide education for Oracle, and COO for Business Objects. In addition, Ellett spent 13 years with EDS in a number of key management roles, including president of the performance services group. Ellett holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is married and has three daughters and a son.
