Bio

Bob joined TCV in 2005 and has been in the investment industry since 2000. Prior to joining TCV, Bob was a Principal at General Atlantic Partners, where he led the firm’s financial services practice. Before General Atlantic, Bob was a Managing Director at iFormation Group (a joint venture between General Atlantic, Goldman Sachs, and Boston Consulting Group). Bob leads the Business Development Group and currently serves on the board of directors of Open English and TradingScreen. He was also actively involved in TCV’s investments in Automated Trading Desk, FX Alliance (acquired by Thomson Reuters), MarketAxess (NASDAQ: MKTX), Envestnet (NYSE: ENV), iPipeline (acquired by Thoma Bravo), and RiskMetrics Group. Bob was born and raised in Montreal and continues to be a huge fan of his beloved Montreal Canadiens. Outside of TCV, Bob tries to spend as much time as possible skiing, hiking, mountain biking and playing tennis in the great outdoors of the Northeast. He spends most winter weekends traveling to ski mountains across the country to cheer on his son and daughter who are accomplished alpine ski racers. Bob received a B.A.H. in Political Science from Queen’s University and an M.B.A. from The University of Western Ontario.
