Tushar Patel is the Chairman and Founder of Tarsadia. His career began in hospitality, helping run his family’s motel in Anaheim, CA from a young age. Inspired by his innate belief that dreams are achieved with deep focus and hard work, Tushar embarked on a journey to become one of the most prolific private hoteliers in the country. Together with his team at Tarsadia Hotels, Tushar owned, operated, and transacted over $1B+ of hotel assets throughout the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. Relentlessly driven to identify and execute on value, Tushar and his team set out in the mid-2000s to create Tarsadia as it is today, a world-class investment platform diversified across real estate, life sciences, financial services, and technology. Today, Tushar continues to push Tarsadia to new heights and provide the means to enable each member of the firm to maximize their potential. Tushar has and continues to serve on the boards of numerous companies and non-profits, including the Tarsadia Foundation. He attended California State University, Fullerton. Outside the office, Tushar enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and traveling.
