Bio

José is a Managing Partner of Tamroc Partners. He has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, corporation reorganizations, and divestitures. Prior to joining Tamroc, José worked as a mergers and acquisitions professional at Barclays. While at Barclays, José worked on buy and sell-side engagements in the education, retail, consumer, telecom, media, and power sectors in Latin America. Selected transactions José advised on while at Barclays include: $750 million for-profit education platform on monetization alternatives, Brazil-based telecom operator Oi on its merger with Portugal Telecom, Oi on its $17 billion corporate reorganization, $700 million Mexican cable operator on its sale, $100 million Mexican footwear retailer on its sale, and Telecom Italia on the sale of its 23% stake in Telecom Argentina for $960 million. José earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School, and his BS in Finance from Boston College, where he was a Gabelli Presidential Scholar.
