Selim joined Syntaxis in 2012 and is a Partner of the Firm. His primary responsibilities include the sourcing and execution of transactions in South-Eastern Europe, including conducting due diligence, structuring, documentation, and post-investment monitoring and Selim oversees the reporting function. He led the Firm’s investment in Uğurlu Cam. Prior to joining Syntaxis, Selim worked at Deutsche Bank in London in the Leveraged Finance team focusing on the structuring and execution of leveraged buyouts such as the takeover of the Polish mobile operator Polkomtel, US mobile operator Sprint, and the acquisition of BSN Medical, as well as numerous refinancing transactions for corporates across different geographies and industries in Europe, including successive bond issues for Europcar, Phoenix Pharmahandel, Cirsa, Techem, Fresenius and for KUKA. Previously, Selim worked in London for Dresdner Kleinwort in the Mergers & Acquisitions team. Selim holds a BSc in Information Systems and an MSc with a focus on Finance from Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
