Pete Georgiadis is the founder and CEO of Synetro Group. A serial entrepreneur and experienced operator, Pete founded Synetro in 2000 with the goal of creating the partner of choice for experienced founders committed to starting and building market leading web-enabled, software and business services companies. Pete has honed Synetro’s pioneering partnering approach which focuses on supporting founders in three areas: go to market guidance to accelerate product market fit and focus on the most attractive margin pools; structuring a startup organization and early scaling that optimizes resource burn from idea to paying customers and the next $5/10/20m of revenue; and patient and flexible capital to start, seed and fund the growth of a company without the deployment and exit pressures of traditional VC funds. This partnership approach applied on a very selective basis has enabled Pete to actively help build and scale multiple web-based technology and business services companies, including Insurance Noodle, Inc. (sold to Willis Holdings in 2007), Knowledge Advisors, Inc, (sold to Conference Executive Board in 2014), CrossCheck Compliance, and dScout. In the mid 2000s, Pete expanded Synetro’s focus to leverage the firm’s skills and capital to acquire and turn around underperforming lower middle-market companies with distinctive products and services. This initiative led to the acquisition and turnaround of Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet which is now the undisputed leader of high-end outdoor cooking and entertaining equipment, and Corporate Synergies Group which became the cornerstone and provided the leadership team for a national employee benefits insurance brokerage rollup. Prior to Synetro, Pete was the Chief Operating Officer of Lante Corporation where he led the strategic repositioning and operating transformation of the company from an established systems integrator into a high-growth internet consulting leader. He also prepared the company for a successful IPO. Prior to Lante he was a consultant at McKinsey and Company and worked at several technology companies in Europe. Pete earned a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Sussex, an M.Sc. in Computer Science from London’s Imperial College, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Pete serves on the boards of CrossCheck Compliance LLC, dScout, Inc., and Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet LLC. He is a committed supporter of a number of education, social service delivery and heritage management organizations. He is married with three children.
