Bio

Ajmal (‘Aj’) is a Venture Partner of the firm and previously spent 18 years at Merrill Lynch including a period working with James in London. He has extensive equity monetisation experience having held a senior equity capital markets (ECM) role for Merrill Lynch in London, New York and Hong Kong. His final role was as co-Head of Investment Banking for the Asia region based in Hong Kong. Since leaving Merrill Lynch in 2003, Aj has been a chairman, CEO or board advisor of technology (mostly cleantech and medtech) companies. He is currently the non-executive chairman of a renewable energy company and of a healthcare technology company. He obtained his MA (honours) degree from Cambridge University.
