Bio

Greg is a Managing Director and joined Summit in 2002. He leads investments across the technology sector and beyond. His key areas of emphasis include analytics and big data, cloud computing, enterprise applications, mobility and security, internet and electronic marketplace businesses, and unique consumer models and brands. Greg’s current investment and director experience includes Chronograph, CoderPad, Highwire, Jamf (NASDAQ: JAMF), Jungle Scout, onX, PatSnap, Philz Coffee and Visier. His prior experience includes Clearwater Analytics (acquired by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe), Cloudmark (acquired by Proofpoint), Gainsight (acquired by Vista Equity Partners), Intellichem (acquired by Symyx), LiveOffice (acquired by Symantec), ProClarity (acquired by Microsoft), RiskIQ (acquired by Microsoft), Rocket Fuel (NASDAQ: FUEL), Telesign (acquired by BICS), The Mutual Fund Store (acquired by Warburg Pincus), Tiny Prints (acquired by Shutterfly), Web Reservations International (acquired by Hellman & Friedman), Winshuttle (acquired by Symphony Technology Group) and Wowza Media Systems (acquired by Clearhaven Partners). Prior to Summit, Greg was Director of E-Commerce and Director of the Innovation Lab at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he was responsible for incorporating emerging software, networking, and hardware technologies into Starwood’s business. Greg led the creation of Starwood’s Broadband Business Unit, which provides broadband internet connectivity to Starwood’s guest and meeting rooms. As a builder and user of software and hardware in large enterprises, he brings an understanding of both the IT needs of enterprise customers and consumer-based business models to his role as an investor and board member. Greg holds an AB in government, magna cum laude, from Harvard University.
