As Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Strand Equity, Seth leads Strand’s overall strategy, deal sourcing and portfolio management. Seth has over 20 years of experience and success as an entrepreneur, executive and investor. His diverse background gives him a unique understanding into the different viewpoints of both entrepreneurs and investors. Seth has become known as one of the most innovative and value-add investors in the branded consumer space. He has helped disrupt the traditional endorsement relationship between the entertainment community and consumer growth brands by creating, investing and executing some of the most exciting and creative marketing partnerships and platforms in the category for Strand portfolio companies such as Bai, HIPPEAS, Vita Coco, Sweaty Betty and Oatly amongst many others. Seth has also founded and created innovative consumer and media companies. In 2014, along with co-founder Reese Witherspoon, he launched Draper James, a Southern inspired retail brand focused on fashion, accessories and home decor. In 2016, Seth co-founded Hello Sunshine, the mission driven media company that puts women at the center of every story it creates. At the end of 2021, Hello Sunshine announced a majority investment by Candle Media, a Blackstone backed media company run by Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs.
