Mr. Joe Lee is a Managing Director of Strait Lane Capital Partners. He has served as an investor virtually his entire career, evaluating both credit and equity opportunities in the public and private markets for a number of large asset management firms. Prior to joining SLCP in 2019, Mr. Lee was a portfolio manager at HBK Capital from 2011 to 2018, with direct responsibility for event-driven public equity investments primarily in the US. Mr. Lee identified and led success investments in a host of industries, including technology, media, consumer, business services, financials, and industrials. From 2008 to 2011, Mr. Lee was a senior managing director for JANA Partners, where his focus was equity and credit ideas in the U.S. and Europe. During 2002-2008, Mr. Lee was a managing director at Fortress Investment Group within the Drawbridge Special Opportunities Fund, where his focus was distressed credit and equity opportunities. Mr. Lee began his career as an analyst at The Blackstone Group in their Restructuring and Reorganization Group. Born and raised outside of Baltimore, Maryland, Mr. Lee received a B.A. degree in Economics from Harvard College. Mr. Lee has been married for 15 years and has three children. He resides with his family in Dallas, Texas.
