Umang Kajaria is a Managing Director at STG where he co-leads the mid-market Allegro strategy focused on middle market investments in enterprise software and software-enabled technology services sectors. Umang has led the investment in MediaValet. Prior to joining STG, Umang spent 11 years at Apax where he was a Partner in the Tech team focused on investing at Software. At Apax, Umang helped lead and was on the board of a number of software companies including MyCase (Legal Software, exit to Affinipay), Paycor (Payroll/HRIS, IPO), Duck Creek (P&C Insurance, IPO), ECI Software (Manufacturing/Distribution ERP, exit to Leonard Green), Aptos (Retail POS, exit to Goldman Sachs), Azentio Software (Banking/Insurance core systems), Paradigm (O&G Software, exit to Emerson). Prior to Apax, Umang worked at Silver Lake Partners in their North America private equity team, and at Goldman Sachs in the TMT Investment Banking team. Umang has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Computer Science and Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. Umang currently serves on the board of directors of MediaValet.
