Howard Weiss joined Stella Point in 2016 and is responsible for the finance, administration and compliance functions for Stella Point. He oversees all financial aspects of the Funds that Stella Point manages as well as the quarterly reporting to investors, the annual audits and tax filings. Prior to joining Stella Point, Mr. Weiss was CFO and CAO of Castle Harlan where he spent more than 25 years with the firm. He was responsible for all financial reporting and investor communications and coordinated Annual Meetings, Review Board Meetings and any special functions. He also served as liaison with the firm’s Australian Affiliate CHAMP. After several years in public accounting, Mr. Weiss was Vice President and Controller of Sotheby’s, the fine art and collectibles auctioneer for almost seven years. He was responsible for accounting operations and financial reporting of the parent company and its eight US and Canadian subsidiaries. Mr. Weiss was a board member of Maimonides Medical Center from 2007 through 2017. He also served as a board member and trustee of local community non-profits for more than 30 years.
