James is a Founding Partner of Stanley Capital with responsibility for sustainability, people development and resource efficiency sector activities. He has co-led Stanley’s investments into Qinecsa and Noden. Two goals drive James; to have an impact on making businesses more sustainable and having a positive human influence on teams around him. Building meaning to "sustainability" in its broadest sense. James is a proven c-suite executive leader and private equity investor in global resource efficiency and tech sectors. In Resource Efficiency, James is a world-class executive with more than 10 years of leadership experience, including roles in Shell’s low carbon business and Lightsource bp, across integrated markets in power, e-mobility, hydrogen, fuels and nature-based solutions following a successful sector-focused private equity investment career. In Private Equity, James was previously co-head of European energy investing for Goldman Sachs’s principal investment activities after starting his career at Advent International. During his time with Lightsource bp he also founded one of the world’s largest emerging markets green infrastructure private equity funds, Eversource Capital. James holds a degree in Atmospheric Physics from Oxford University.
