My career started in the banking sector where I worked in 1989–1996. This period of time provided me with experience in everything from the heady days of an economic boom and severe recession to the subsequent recovery. For the next 15 years, I was an investment banker at Carnegie and at HLP Corporate Finance. During this time, I became familiar with numerous IPOs, M&A transactions both at home and abroad, as well as commercial banking in general. In 2009, I joined Sponsor as a partner. Since the beginning of 2017, I’ve also worked as Sponsor Capital’s managing director. Sponsor gives me the chance to work with interesting companies and their personnel on a scope that covers nearly all lines of business. Sponsor’s strong entrepreneur-based corporate culture and highly experienced personnel make for a truly meaningful working environment. The best thing about my job is the chance to support companies in their efforts to achieve their own targets during both good times and bad.
