Raul Sotomayor joined Southern Cross Group in 1998, he is a member of the firm’s Investment and Executive Committees, and serves(d) as board member of La Polar, Chilesat, CGTA, ESSBIO, Laboratorios Northia, Supermercados del Sur, The Value Brands, GasAtacama, Project Eagle and Brinox. Prior to joining Southern Cross, Mr. Sotomayor was a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group at its San Francisco and Buenos Aires offices. Before then, he worked at Grupo Elecmetal, a leading industrial group in Chile, and at Fintec, a private equity fund in Chile. Mr. Sotomayor holds dual degrees in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Católica de Chile as well as an MBA from UCLA. He is a member of the Group of Fifty (G50), a nonprofit initiative co-sponsored by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Inter.
