Bio

Joseph Schmidt is an Operating Partner with Solis with more than 30 years of executive and leadership experience in a variety to industries and roles. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience across several industries, particular in the areas of business operations, sales and marketing, and leadership development. Joe also has extensive experience in founding, acquiring and selling businesses. Joe is currently the president of TemcorConservatek, which was formed when Temcor was acquired by CST Industries in 2009. Prior to the CST acquisition, Joe served as President of Temcor, where he was responsible for growing the business from $21 to over $52 million in revenue in three years. In addition, under Joe’s leadership, Temcor went from negative EBITDA to over $11 Million. He participated in Solis’ acquisition of Temcor in 2008 and its eventual sale to CST Industries in 2009. Prior to Temcor, Joe was a division president at Emak, Inc. for 3 years, and a division president at Aspen Marketing for 5 years, where he ultimately acquired and ran three divisions. Prior to Aspen Marketing, Joe served as both executive vice president and president of SCI from 1988 to 1996, which he sold to Aspen Marketing in 1996. Joe holds a BBA from the University of San Diego, where he was a Franklin Award winner (outstanding senior male graduate). He is also an active member of YPO.
